Zombie AI Trend Prompts You Can Copy
A zombie AI trend prompt has two halves: a cold scene where the person or pet you love is a zombie and you lower your gun as they hug you, and a warm scene in the same hug pose, alive, in golden light. Below are free copy-paste prompts for partners, parents, friends, dogs and cats — tested shot structure, no gore.
These are the prompts behind the zombie AI trend — the cold standoff, the hug and the hard cut to a memory. They work in CapCut and Dreamina (Seedance), Kling and Veo. Change only the parts in [BRACKETS].
The all-in-one zombie AI trend prompt
Photorealistic vertical 9:16 short film, about 15 seconds, two people from the reference photos: [THEM] (photo 1) and me (photo 2). Keep both faces exactly as in the photos. PART 1 — cold, desaturated blue-gray, handheld, real time. In [A RAIN-SOAKED CITY STREET AT DUSK], [THEM] stands as a zombie: ashen gray skin, clouded eyes, dark veins at the jaw, mouth closed, not smiling — still clearly the same person, same hair, same [FIXED DETAIL, e.g. silver necklace]. Close-up: I raise a pistol, hands shaking, tears on my face. Insert: the [FIXED DETAIL] catches the light. I lower the gun. [THEM] staggers closer and, instead of attacking, wraps their arms around me. I hold on. HARD CUT — no dissolve, no flash. PART 2 — warm golden hour, slow motion. The exact same embrace, but [THEM] is alive and healthy in [A SUNSET BEACH], laughing. Two or three quick happy moments together. End on [THEM] smiling at me. No gore, no blood, no bite, no text, no subtitles.
Works best with two reference photos: photo 1 is who turns, photo 2 is you. If your app only takes one image, use the prompts below in two parts.
Prompts by who turns
Partner prompts come in two parts so you can cut them yourself; the others are all-in-one. For the pet version, the zombie AI trend with your dog or cat has photo tips that keep them recognisable.
PROMPT 01
Partner — Part 1, the cold scene
Cinematic zombie apocalypse, vertical 9:16, handheld, real-time speed, desaturated cold blue-gray with film grain. Setting: [A SNOWED-IN WOODEN CABIN, FROST ON THE WINDOWS]. Shot 1 (wide): my [GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND] from photo 1 stands as a zombie — ashen skin, clouded eyes, mouth closed, slow — but the same face, hair and [FIXED DETAIL]. Shot 2 (close-up): me from photo 2, raising a pistol, hands trembling, crying. Shot 3 (insert): the [FIXED DETAIL]. I lower the gun. Shot 4 (two-shot): they stumble to me and hug me instead of biting; I close my eyes. Keep both faces identical to the photos. No gore, no text.
tip: Generate this and Part 2 as two clips, then hard-cut them in CapCut on the hug.
PROMPT 02
Partner — Part 2, the warm memory
Warm memory flashback, vertical 9:16, slow motion, golden-hour light, soft bloom, shallow depth of field. Setting: [A SUNNY SNOWY MOUNTAIN SLOPE]. Open in the exact same embrace and framing as the end of Part 1 — but my [GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND] is alive, warm-skinned, bright-eyed, laughing, with the same [FIXED DETAIL]. Then: foreheads touching; spinning together; walking hand in hand away from camera. End on a close-up of them looking at me with love. Faces identical to the photos, no text.
tip: Matching the hug pose of Part 1's last frame is what makes the cut feel like a punch.
PROMPT 03
Mom or dad — all in one
Photorealistic vertical 9:16 short film, two parts with one hard cut. Photo 1 is my [MOM/DAD], photo 2 is me. Cold part (blue-gray, handheld): in [THE RUINED LIVING ROOM OF OUR FAMILY HOME], my [MOM/DAD] is a zombie — gray skin, clouded eyes, mouth closed — still wearing [THEIR OLD CARDIGAN/FLANNEL]. I aim a pistol, shaking, and lower it. They shuffle to me and hold me like when I was small. Hard cut, no dissolve. Warm part (golden, slow motion): the same hug, alive, in [A SUMMER STREET WHERE THEY TAUGHT ME TO RIDE A BIKE]; quick memories of us laughing. End on their smile. Faces identical to the photos. No gore, no text.
tip: An old childhood photo of the two of you makes the warm part hit hardest.
PROMPT 04
Best friend or sibling — all in one
Photorealistic vertical 9:16 short film. Photo 1: my best friend. Photo 2: me. Cold (desaturated, handheld): in [AN ABANDONED SUPERMARKET WITH TOPPLED SHELVES], my best friend is a zombie — ashen skin, clouded eyes — in [THE HOODIE THEY NEVER TAKE OFF]. I point a pistol, hands shaking, and can't do it. They stagger over and throw an arm around my shoulders like always. Hard cut. Warm (golden, slow motion): same pose, alive, singing in a car with the windows down on a road trip; side by side, laughing. End on their grin. Faces identical to the photos. No gore, no romance, no text.
tip: Say 'no romance' — otherwise some models turn a friendship hug into a couple scene.
PROMPT 05
Dog — all in one
Photorealistic vertical 9:16 short film, filmed from my point of view (only my hands visible). Photo 1 is my dog. Cold (blue-gray, rain, handheld): on [AN EMPTY RAIN-SOAKED STREET], my dog walks toward me as a zombie — cloudy pale eyes, matted fur — but the same breed, colour and [RED COLLAR WITH A ROUND NAME TAG]. My hands hold a pistol, shaking. The tag catches the light. I lower the gun. My dog presses its head into my chest. Hard cut. Warm (golden, slow motion): the same moment, alive and glossy-furred, on [A SUNSET BEACH]; running to me, a playful jump, the tag swinging. End on its happy face. Keep the dog identical to the photo. No gore, no blood, no text.
tip: The collar tag is your recognition beat — name it in both halves.
PROMPT 06
Cat — all in one
Photorealistic vertical 9:16 short film, my point of view. Photo 1 is my cat. Cold (blue-gray, dim, handheld): in [A DUSTY ABANDONED APARTMENT], my cat crosses the rubble toward me as a zombie — cloudy eyes, slightly matted fur — same pattern, eye colour and [BELL ON ITS COLLAR]. I hold a pistol, shaking, hear the bell, and lower it. The cat climbs into my arms and purrs. Hard cut. Warm (golden, slow motion): the same cuddle, alive, curled asleep on my chest in [A SUNNY WINDOW]. End on its eyes slowly closing. Keep the cat identical to the photo. Subtle zombie details only. No gore, no text.
tip: Cats lose their identity fast — keep the zombie make-up minimal.
When the prompt goes wrong
- The zombie doesn't look like them
- Use a sharp, front-facing photo, keep the zombie make-up off the eyes' shape and the mouth, and name one fixed detail (necklace, scar, collar) in both halves.
- The zombie is smiling
- Add 'mouth closed, not smiling' to the zombie shot. Models default to a friendly face when they see a hug coming.
- Faces swap between the two people
- Say which photo is who ('photo 1 is my girlfriend, photo 2 is me') and refer to them by that role every time.
- The app blocks the prompt
- Drop words like blood, bite, corpse or shoot; 'raise a pistol' and 'lower the gun' pass most filters.
- The cut looks like a dissolve
- Write 'hard cut, no dissolve, no flash', or generate two clips and cut them yourself.
Putting it together — generating, cutting and adding the sound — is covered step by step in how to do the zombie AI trend.
Questions
Q01What is the zombie AI trend prompt?
It's a two-part prompt: a cold zombie standoff where you lower the gun and get hugged, and a warm memory scene in the exact same pose. You can run it as one all-in-one prompt or as two clips joined with a hard cut.
Q02Which AI works best with these prompts?
Seedance (in CapCut or Dreamina), Kling and Veo all handle them. Seedance and Kling follow the shot list most reliably; Veo gives the most cinematic light when you build the two parts as separate scenes.
Q03Do these prompts work in ChatGPT or Gemini?
Those make still images, not the video. Use them to create a character reference of the zombie version first, then feed that image to a video model with the prompt.
Q04Are the zombie AI trend prompts free?
Yes. Copy them, change the bracketed parts, and use them anywhere. If you'd rather skip the prompting and editing, the zombie AI trend generator on our homepage does the whole video from two photos.
Q05How do I keep my pet recognisable?
Describe breed, colour and one accessory, keep the zombie details to clouded eyes and slightly matted fur, and use a close, well-lit photo of the face.
